Rectal Mucosal Carcinoma in situ

Distal rectal polyps and carcinoma in situ lesions are mucoal in nature and can often be prolapsed for surgical removal. In this slide we see stay sutures being used to maintain tension on the mucosa as it is prolapsed to expose the lesion.
